Labs are fun places, and no Hallowe'en for me

I hope everyone had a great Hallowe’en! I’m going to enjoy mine next weekend if I can, by at least drawing something. Mid-term gods willing. I'll sacrifice a goat Thursday night and let you know how things develop.

I was at the Humanities laboratory at my university with the rest of my class last week; we got to check out the equipment and facilities. Echo-safe recording room, eye-tracking equipment... And we have an articulograph down there! To record movements of speech articulators, or well, the movement of electrodes stuck to them. I was pretty curious about that one. I got to be subject for demonstration so I had electrodes super-glued to my mouth. Fun times.
We talked some about how to go about our experiments too, and how far in planning / execution we were. Which was a good kick start for me since I’m way behind.
Reports / essays are due next week / this week, so I’m flipping between productive-stress mode and deer-in-headlights mode.
